Trick or Treat (healthier candy swaps edition)

Now that it’s officially October, I figured it’s time to share a Halloween themed post. In case you’re wondering... no, I don’t think there is such a thing as healthy candy! By “healthy” I just mean better than the alternatives, meaning made from real food ingredients and without artificial dyes, preservatives, fillers and all the other junk found in conventional candy.

Typically, we would like to focus on opting for candy-free gifts or experiences, but I do love that several companies are making candy with better ingredients so more families can partake in halloween festivities. Several of these healthier candy alternatives also make it safe for kids with allergies to trick-or-treat... which is huge win!

I wanted to put this out there as a resource for families looking for alternatives. It’s important to know what ingredients are in the foods we’re giving our little ones and opt for alternatives when possible!
